Future Pipe Industries B.V. is a part of the Future Pipe Group (FPG), and is a leading manufacturer of high performance, anti-corrosive pipe systems for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Desalination and Civil Industries as well as Muncipal applications. The group was founded in 1973, and since then, has evolved into the leading provider of composite thermosetting pipe systems and technologies in Europe, Africa, Middle East, North America & Asia.
Major markets for the use of fiberglass reinforced pipe systems (also known as composites, GRP,FRP or RTRP) include Power Generation, Desalination, Oil and Gas and the Municipal sectors. As an inert material, fiberglass composite pipes have excellent anti-corrosive properties. Seawater, chemicals, oil and atmospheric environments typical in severe corrosion within a short period of time. Fiberglass pipes, with a design life of 50 years, have proved to be the material of choice when facing such conditions.
The FPG has been involved with major power and desalination plants throughout the Middle East. Tank systems (vertical and horizontal) are also offered as a corrosion free alternative to outdated metal technologies, as evidenced in their use at filling stations throughout the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Polyester and Vinylester based fiberglass reinforced composites (GRP/GRV) offer excellent performance in terms of corrosion resistance and resistance to loads (buried installations) with high pressure (up to 250 bar) and temperature (up to 93 degrees) applications. GRP Pipes have been extensively used in the GCC countries in the Power Generation and Desalination Industries (Sea Water intake/outfall, brine water, condensate,...), drinking water networks and municipal applications (sewer lines, irrigation,...). Epoxy based fiberglass reinforced composites (GRE) offer superior performance in relation to temperature and pressure. Due to the specialized services and rigorous standards applied to the use of GRE, there are relatively few companies globally qualified to produce such systems.
